Econo Lodge Newport

Stayed here for one night as we headed back from our trip and it was wonderful, called in to ask for reservation they made it easy, the hotel was quiet room was nice and budget friendly with a view of the ocean.

Basic but clean and comfortable rooms. Nice gentleman managing the place. I would stay here again.

A comfortable and secure place to stay. We spent one night here with friends and enjoyed the peaceful atmosphere. Conveniently located near the seashore, making it a great spot for a short and relaxing getaway.

I recently stayed at the Econo Lodge in Newport, Oregon, for the Memorial Day weekend and overall, it was a pleasant experience. The location is excellent, conveniently close to everything, including a short walk to the beach. The staff were exceptionally professional, especially the gentleman who checked us in—he was very accommodating and attentive to our needs. However, there were a few issues with the room. It was difficult to keep the room cool unless the window was left open, which is scary because I had my kids with me. I wasn't able to figure out how to operate the air conditioning, but there was a fan in the room which helped somewhat. The room key also stopped working a few times in our three day stay but it was replaced. Additionally, I encountered an ant problem; they appeared every time I put food down and were quite pervasive throughout the room. The room itself was a bit dingy and had a slight odor. Despite these issues, I was happy to have my cash deposit returned promptly upon check-out. I appreciate the effort of the staff and the great location, but the room's condition and the bug problem need improvement. Thank you for the stay!

The rooms are clean, but smell like smoke, even though they are nonsmoking rooms. We could see the ocean from our room, even though it is a few blocks away. It is close to the beach, a short drive to shopping, the aquarium, the pier, restaurants, and other attractions. There's a frig and microwave in the room. They do not have a pool or hot tub. The staff is nice and they check to make sure they can return your deposit before you leave, so you know what to expect. If you're getting it back, they send the refund to your card immediately and make sure to let you know it can take up to 10 days before it actually processes back on the card, if you pay with debit. There was only one towel bar in the bathroom, not even a hook to hang a second towel, and the sink stopper was missing, which is important if you wear contacts and need to clean them. Overall, we were satisfied and it's a really good price for the location.

I had a reservation at the Motel 6 just down the road. But after having to cancel it because they, despite my showing them the laws on service dogs, insisted that service dogs are pets and I could not have mine and my sister's in the room (we both have certified professionally trained service dogs), I decided to stop at this place to ask about their policy on service dogs. They welcomed us and our service dogs with open arms. The man at the front desk was very welcoming. And the room! On my goodness, the room! It was perfect! And had the most wonderful ocean view. This is my very first experience with an Econo Lodge but it will NOT be my last. We have already decided that because we felt so welcome here that we want to come back to Newport again to visit. And we WILL stay here. And hopefully we can get room 217 again.

Decent Motel for what you pay. Easy to deal with on the phone. Friendly, helpful desk person who helped me quickly when I locked myself out and gave me restaurant info. Good parking, ice machine, well lit, decent WIFI. Everything worked.

Location is pretty nice and central to the town, the staff was friendly and the rooms were okay. The lack of ac to most people isn't an issue there, but I enjoy it a bit colder when I'm sleeping, so that was a disappointment but the beds where okay and they did provide a fan. It was clean and waaaay cheaper than everywhere else as well. Would recommend.
